EDISON'S PHONOGRAPH.
TO THE EDITOR. Sib, —I beg to call your attention to a very serious error in your Saturday's issue, in which you say that on Saturday evening Mr MacMahoa made his last appearance with the phonograph, toe remainder of the paragraph dealing with the various items of the entertainment whioh I gave," and never mentioning my name onee, Considering that I am the sole owner of j the phonograph, that the "records" are entirely my own, made a g6od many of them in England a year before I ever heard the name of MaoMahon, and that Mr W. MaoMahon is simply the travelling representative of the firm who are my business part- 1 njers, I think you will see at onoe that the paragraph in question is a grave misrepresentation, and aB suoh I ask you to be good enough to insert an oxplaination of my position with regard to the machine.~?-I am, etc, E. DOUQI.4S AR?WBAfJ>. Dunedin, June 1.
