THE MINISTER OF WORKS.
INVJSRCARGILL, Jtjnb 1. The Hon, R. J. Seddon left at eight o'clock this morning for the Mokotua terminus of the Seaward Bush line; returning at ten and receiving deputations, but making no promises. He said that the intentions of the Government with regard to the line would be first made known in the Publio Works Statement. The Minister left again at eleven by special for Riverton and Ore poki, accompanied by the members for the district. He returns at five o'olook for deputations, will be banqueted at eight, and leaves for the North at midnight by special train.
