AUCKLAND, Mat 30. F. L. fieart, county rate collector at Dargaville, was arrested last night charged with embezzlement. His alleged defalcations amount to L2OO. WELLINGTON, May 30. The Government have decided to allow seals to be- killed during July and August of this year, subject, however, to the restriction that female or oow seals and seals under 36in in length are not to b* killed. An Order-in-Counoil to this effect will probably be issued this afternoon. Judge Richmond resumes his duties on Monday, bis year's leave of absence having •xpirsd,
