The Beautiful Star left the Dunedin wharf at midnight yesterday for Lyttelton via intermediate ports. The Jubilee steamed down to Port Oha'mers this morning, and left in the afternoon for Sydney via Cook Strait. The Tarawera left the wharf this morning for Port Chalmers, and after embarking passengers left in the afternoon for Auckland via the Hast 0 a<«t ports. The Kaikouta was busy to-day discharging cargo. She has taken on board aqu vntity of frozen rabbitp, and sails on Saturday for Lyttelton. The Manapouri arrived alongside the Bowen p!er at 10.45 a.m. to-day. She left Auckland on the 2lst inst, called at Gisborne on the 22nd, Napier on the 23rd, and arrived at Wellington on the 24th; left again on the 25th, and reached Lyttelton at 3 a.m. on the 26th ; sailed again at 1 p.m. same day. From Auckland to Lyttelton she had light variable wieds and fine weather ; affcr leaving Lyttelton she encountered a strong SJ*. gale with head sea for five hours, and from thpnee moderate weather to arrival. The Arawa left Lyttelton on March 5 at 5.30 p.m. with eighty-nine passengers—viz., forty-eight first, twenty-two second, and nineteen third—and, pursuing a northerly course, had a very pleasant passage to Cape Horn, which was passed on Mai oh 19 at 3 p.m. She sighted no ice. and had very good weather to Rio Janeiro, which was reached on March 27 at 7 a.m, leaving again next day at 2 p.m. Landed three passengers there and embarked sixteen. Had a very fine run through the tropics, crossing ihe Equator on April 3 in 30Jeg W., reaching Tenerlffe on April 10 at 7 a.m., and leaving agaiu at 4 p.m. Fmbarked twpnty-aix passengers there. Had very fine weather to Plymouth, wh'ch was reached at 5 p.m. April 15 ; left for London »t 6 p.m. No births of deaths, and the health of all was excellent.
