The London correspondent of the ‘New Zealand Times,’ in his football notes, has the following items :—Cambridge has defeated the Cardiff, Blackheath, and many other crack fifteens, but drew with the Oxford team. S. M. J. Woods, the Australian, played for Cambridge.—The other day All England defeated Ireland in Dublin. The All England fifteen included Kent, who was one of the English team visiting New Zealand, and S. M. J. Woods. The visitors won with ease.—Stoddart, who was a member of Shrewsbury and Lillywhite’s football team, is still playing for Blackheath, but he has, lam told, lost all his former dash, A blow received on the head brought on conj cuasion of the brain, and now the slightest touch almost would bring on a return of his illness.
