The syndicate over which Lord Hartington presides is willing to accept a LIO,OOO subsidy from the Queensland Government for a mail service from Vancouver Island to Australia, and hopes that, owing to the Imperial character of the service, the Victorian Government may be induced to contribute L 5.000. The syndicate proposes to flutftMwh a branch service between Honolulu and San Francisco. Berlin, with 1,500,000 people, bw 1,398 doctor*.
