(Received January 6, 1891, at 1 a.m.) President Harriscn has ordered twelve cruisers, four revenue cutters, and seven patrol steamers to assemble at San Francisco within a month, It is understood that they are mobilising in connection with the Behring Sea fishery dispute. WASHINGTON, January 5. (Received January 6,1891, at 10.80 a.m.) Great activity is being displayed in the American dockyards. The American PreßS discourage Mr Blaine's action with regard to the Behring fisheries. LONDON, January 5. The ' Standard' says it cannot believe that Mr Blaine will be allowed to wantonly force a conflict between the United States and England in order to over trump his political rivals. The telegrams issued by Dalziel's news agency highly color the discontent said to exist among the people of Newfoundland. The formation of anti-British leagues is being encouraged by the Americans.
