MUCH TO THE POINT
TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —As I see shopkeepers are combining in their prices, I think it time customers Bhould alio combine in their payments. It is very unfair that those who pay ready money or pay monthly should not have some advantage over those who pay at long intervals or not at all. I would suggest shopkeepers having a graduated scale of discount and interest, as I understand some of the wholesale places have, and also that credit be given for a certain time only. If such conditions were held shopkeepers would make few bad debta, and thus would be able to sell cheaper to the cash paying public, besides reaping more profit themselves.—l am, etc., IIOPSKITOT.rjF.ri.
