SALE AND SELECTION OF CROWN LANDS.
The balloting on the applications for rural lands in the Otago district, which have been open for selection for cash on deferred payment or on the perpetual lease system, took place at theLandOfficeon Thursday morning. For the land thrown open there were some sixty applicant?, the large majority of whom applied for land under the perpetual lease system. The land was disposed of as follows : KDROW DISTRICT.
