HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

The monthly meeting of the Charitable Aidßoard was held yesterday afternoon, when there were present—Messrs J. Robin (in the chair), W. Snow, J. R. Monson, H. Clark, and S. Solomon.

The following requisitions were passed for payment: —Benevolent Institution, L 451 ; Industrial School, L3GS 3s sd. The Chairman stated that letters had been sent to the Colonial Treasurer, stating tnat the North-east Valley Borough and Portobello Road Board had neglected to pay their contributions to the Board, and he was asked to deduct from the subsidy payable to these bodies the sums they were owing to the Board—viz., L 94 and L2l respectively. —lt was agreed to approve of the chairman's action.

A meeting of the Hospital Board was then held, attended by the same members, with the addition of Mr James Green. A hospital requisition, amounting to L 221 3s 9d, was passed for payment.
