THE BOWLING TOURNAMENT,
A meeting of the Bowling Association was held in the Grand Hotel last night, and by Messrs Carlton (president, in !th’e oha£r).. T. Moodie, J. Wedderspoon, F. Siedeijerg, T. Young, G. B. Smith, W. H. ,W. J3ayis, E. Hogg, R. Wilson, James Hisl'o'p, R. ,end G. Capstick (secretary),. " ” The following entries were received for the Exhibition Champion Rink (Tournament: —Dunedin, 5 rinks 5 Eoslyn, Caledonian, Christchurch, Victorian Association, and Taieri, 4 rinks each ; Wellington, Invercargill, Canterbury, Kaitangata, 3 rinks .each 5 Milton, Phoenix (Oamaru), Green Island, Lawrence, 2 rinks each ; New Plymouth, Nelson, Wanganui, and Oamarn, 1 rink eaoh. The drawing for places was adjourned till Friday night. The Christchurch bowlers, represen ting members from the Christchurch and Canterbury Clubs, wrote suggesting alterations of tile programme, and the suggestions were handedyco Tournament Committee to consider.
