MELBOURNE, January 14. The New Zealand Government have replied to the representations of Victoria on the subject of Ecab, that the colony is virtually free from that disease; also, that they oonsider the Stock Conference was not warranted in passing condemnatory resolutions regarding the administrative acts of a sister colony.

r WELLINGTON, January 14. New Zealand is now free from scab, and in all probability the whole of the colony will have a clean certificate a few weeks hence. Thia will not at once give the e.ntris to Australian ports, beoause there must be a period of probation; but it is, of course, a great step forward in that direction.
