For Southland, Australian Colonies, India, China, Japan, Continent of Europe, United Kingdom, etc.—Per Mararoa, at 3 p.m. Money orders (for Australian Colonies only), registered letters, and newspapers at 2 p.m. Late letters, «uatd'a van, Port Chalmers train, at 3.35 p.m. DIRECT MAIL SERVICE. Wednesday, December 11. The contraot steamer Doric will leave Wellington for Plymouth via Rio de Janeiro on Thursday, Deoember 12. Mails close here as For United Kingdom and Foreign Countries via the United Kingdom, etc., at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, 11th. Book packets and newspapers at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 11th. Registered correspondence at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 10th. Money orders at 4 p.m. on Tuosday, 10th. The above mail will elope at the Branch Post Office, Dunedin North, for money orders at 4 p.m., registered letters at 5 p.m. on tho 10th; letters at 9.30 a.m. and newspapers a 5.30 a.m. on the 11th. At the South Dunedin Office for money orders at 4 p m., registered letters at 5 p.m. on tho 10th, and for letters and newspapers at 5 am. on the Hob. At the Port Chalmers Office, at 8 a.m. on tbo 11th ; money orders at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on the 10th. Late letters, bearing an additional single rate of postage (b'd) as a late fee can be postod in thoguard's van attached to tho North train, leaving Dunedin railway station at 11 a.m. on the 11th. _ . Farcels for the United Kingdom per Doric will close here at 9.30 a.m. on the 10th. The steamer Nilo leaves Westport for Karamea on Thursday, sth. Mail closes at 7 p.m. (Signed) Edw. D.
