CALEDONIAN SOCIETY'S GAMES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sik,—l hear that no prizes will be given this year for Cumberland wrestling. The wrestling is a jumble of Cornish, collar and elbow, and Cumberland. That's what I call crushing out Cumberland wrestling, which is the best style of any. The runners say that they are treated as bad. I know that the public want good wrestling and running. Suppose the Jockey Club were to give the Dunedin Cup to a horse for trotting, walking, and running ? Why can't every style get prizes to itself ? Wrestlers and runners and their supporters ought to have a meeting on the subject.—l am, etc., Intending Competitor. Dunedin, Octobei 22.
