THE SHETLAND CROFTERS.
[Special to this Star,] INVERCARGILL, October 4.
A movement to aid the crofters in Shetland to resist the demands of the landowners for a share of the profits of whales driven ashore Ims been very successful, L 33 having been remitted from here to the proprietors of the 'Shetland Times.’ It is expected that the amount will be doubled, co-operation having been promised by Shetlanders in Dunedin, who will remit through the Invercargill Committee.
