THE FRENCH STATE TRIALS PARIS, April 7. Mi Raquet (a member of the Senate) and hia colleagues were acquitted on a charge of belonging to a secret society, but were condemned to pay a fine of lOOfr each for belonging to an illegal eooiety. On the decision being announced there were triumphant cries of " Vive Boulanger ! " A decree making the Senate a High Court of Justioe for the trial of cases in which the accused are charged with conspiring against the State will be submitted to the Senate on Monday. A manifesto published by General Boulanger declares that the indictment brought against him by the ProcureurGeneral is a tissue of falsehoods. He admits that his desire is to wrest the Republic of France from the hands of those who are degrading and ruining France. The Government have ordered the arrest of General Boulanger should he return to France. In his second manifesto the general sayß that the indictment accuses him of frequent instances of sedition previous to entering the Ministry, therefore his colleagues were culpable of condoning the offences.
