HE following Cable was received in New Zealand this day (Nov. 28th, 1888).-Seo daily press : In Class 72, fermented and distilled drinks, the following awards were made: Light Sparkling Ale—M. JOEL, Dunedin; J. Edmonds, Wellington. Malt Bitter Alc-M. JOEL. Bottled Stout-M. JOEL Strong Alos-M. JOEL. No other New Zoaland Brewers received awards. It will bo seen from the above that the preeminent success which has for upwards of a quarter of a oontury consistently attended the Ales and Stout manufactured by the Red Lion Erewery, Dunedin, has again received striking and complete confirmation at the hands of the judges of the great Melbourno Centennial Exhibition. Your Jurors have had 11 meeting?, extending over a period of one month, from 20th November to 20 th December, and have deliberated on an average of three hours each sitting, bo that ample time and care were duly taken to form a correct and acceptable judgment.
