THE WAIFERO MURDERS.
GISBORNE, December 21. After a trial lasting from Monday to Wednesday Haira Te Peri was committed for trial for the murder of Mr and Mrs Pook and child. Hepa Haira's brother was discharged, there being no evidence to connect him with the crime. Haira was brought to Gisborne from Awanui by the Australia this morning, and will be brought up at the criminal sittings in March next.
