CITY POLICE COURT.

(Before Messrs A. H, Ross and D, Wishart, J.P.s.)

Drunkenness. For this offence Ann Jane, Seals, against whom there were fiftyfive previous convictions, was fined 30s, with the alternative of fourteen days’ imprisonment. Disorderly Conduct.— John Marshall and Joseph James Eustace were charged with behaving in a public place in a manner that caused a breach of the peace, Mr Stuart appeared for Marshall; Mr Fraser for Eustace.—The defendants were fined 10s each, with costs.

Stray Animals.— For allowing a cowand a heifer to wander at Anderson Bay William Dunford was fined ss, without costs; a charge against John Tunnell of allowing three cows to wander at Anderson Bay was dismissed; Michael O'Hare was fined ss, with costs, for allowing a mare to wander at Anderson Bay; and a charge against JJuncan M'Millan of allowing a mare to wander at Maori Hill was dismissed.
