TO THK KDITOB. Sm,—There are several diseased dogs running about on the Main road, North-east Valley. They go about for food and come into contact withotherdogs.and perhaps children. The dog tax is estimated at LBO, or IGO animals registered. I should say there are four or five times that number in the Northeast Valley district. Who is answerable for this state of affairs?—l am, etc., Duty. Dunedin, March 24.
