Mr Joshach; ten in the Bteerage. SAILED.—MARcn 13. H.M. gunboat Swinger, 400 ton*, LleutenantCommander Allen, for Lyttelton. BGleaner, brigantlne, 115 tons, Riffle, for Oamaru. Tho Russian man-of-war Ryda left Melbourne last week for Auckland or Wellington. The steamer Bajley will finish discharging her by this evening. She has on board a quantity of shelitc, arid sills to-morrow afternoon for the Bluff. The brigantlne Gleauer sailed this afternoon for O^mam.

The 8.8. Beautiful Star took in cargo to-day for Oamaru, ar.d leaves the Rattray street wharf at 10 p.m. for that port. LI.M. gunboat Swinger left Dunedin this afternoon for Lyttelton, The Tarawera arrived at tho Victoria wharf at 0 a.m. to-day. She left Willlamstown at 6.30 p.m on the 6th inst., and cleared Port Philip Heads at 910 p it. ; passed Swan Island at 3.25 p.m. on the 7th inst., and reaohed the wharf at Hobart at 9.20 a.m. on the next day ; left again at 4.80 p.m.. passed Tosman Island at 8 p.m.. and arrived off Milford Sound at 5 p.m on the Utb inst., but owing to thick rainy weather the ship was unable to enter the Sound, and at 7.25 p m. she proceeded on her course, and reached the Bluff; poised Puysegur Point at 5 a.m. onthel2th, and arrived at Hie Bmflat 0.50 p.m., discharged cargo, and left again at 6.80 p.m„ arriving as above. She hid strong S.W. winds and squally weather from Moibourno to Hobart, and thence southerly winds with beam seas to longitude 162degE, 1 when the wind hauled to the northward, blowing a heavy gale, with high seas and thick weather, the barometer falling very low. After leaving the Bluff she had strong S.W. winds. We thank Purser Humphries for flies and report.
