THE GREENWOOD FAMILY.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— lt has been my fortune through a long life to witness the performances of many talented families in London, Paris, and elsewhere, and never have I heard anything by actors so young as I did last night at the Lyceum by the above family, which gave me such pleasure. The entire programme was splendily rendered, and as an entertainment was most chaste and refined. I was grieved to see so poor an attendance at such a musical treat, and my only wonder was that the four girls acquitted themselves in such style, as all know that a poor a idience is not conducive to raise the spirits of performers. The parents and friends of our young ladies should not fail to take them to the Greenwood concerts and let them see and hear what can be attained by perseverance and study. The Dunedin public profess to be fond of good music. Lot them show their appreciation of it by putting in an appearance at bumper houses for the remainder of the Greenwood stay amongst us, and show that they act up to their professions and can appreciate what is truly excellent, refined, and chaste.—l am, etc,, G. P. Clifford. Dunedin, December 29,
