TAIERI SHOW.

- ♦ The annual show of the Taieri Agricultural Society, held yesterday, was the best that has been held in the Taieri for many years, the entries numbering 400 as against 300 last year. The feature of the show was the splendid turn-out of draught stock, many of the prizetakers being animals of exceptionally good quality. The following gentlemen acted as judges :—Shorthorns —Mr J. Scott (Waiwera). Ayrshires—Messrs W. Park (Blueskin), J. M'Farlane (Tokomairiro), and James Drennan (Tokomairiro). Draught horses—Messrs 11. Mitchell (Oamaru), J. Donaldson (Oamaru), C. M'Gregor (Palmerston). Light horses—Messrs D. Bacon and A. Smith (Dunedin). Sheep—Messrs George Steel (Clinton), J. Bryce (Stirling). Dairy produce—Messrs T. Arthur (Lawrence), W.
