THE REGATTA.
TO THE EDITOB. Sir,—Can you inform me if the rule re any boat standing out of a race to save life being entitled to the prize-money holds good here, as I believe that on the other side boats giving up the contest to give assistance to the crew of another get the prise-money. On Monday last, when the Red Jacket capsized, one boat passed quite close, and rendered no assistance whatever. Anyone passing by men in such a predicament deserve the greatest censure.—l am, etc., Regatta. Dunedin, December 28.
