The weekly returns of the Bank of England published to-day show the total reserve in notes and bullion to be L 12,800,000, a decrease of L 40,000 during the week. Tho proportion of reserve to liabilities is 45 per cent., or 1 per cent, below last week's, A GUN FOR VICTORIA. LONDON, December 23.
