MR PYKE'S EDUCATION BILL.

TO THE EDITOR. gl B -_lf the genial member for the Dunstan really wishes to plant the apple of. discord in Our midst by attempting to upset the present educational system and turn the Parliament of Kew Zealand into a theological debating society, I hope he will amend his "little Bill" so as to include all sects, Christians or otherwise, who claim to be Her Majesty's subjects, and not confine it to those professing the dogmas of Roman Catholic theology. Why one sect should be favored more than another, one is [ at a los 3 to understand, as the consciences of those outside the Church of Rome are as sacred to themselves as those within it. I hope the hon. member will not dissemble, but advocate at onCe denominational education, which his Bid really means.—l am, etc., An Advocate of the Present System. Dunedin, November 5.
