OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
A meeting of the Council of the Otago Rifle' Association was held on Saturday evening; Captain Wilkinson in the chair. The date of the coming meeting was fixed for December 14 and three following days. A maiden match is to be included in' the programme. Kynoch's ammunition to be used only, under penalty of disqualification and forfeiture of prize and entry money. It was decided to arrange, if possible, for a sweepstake match with the Remington-Lee rifle, taking place on Saturday, 17th December; ranges 200, 500, and 600 yards, five shots at each, and one sighting shot at each range. ' .'' . '.The suggestion. aa to making it, optional, under certain conditions to count the score made by a sighting shot was deferred for furthenconsideration.
