THE EGMONT ELECTION.
HAWERA, November 4. Mr F. M'Goire now states that his solicitor has advised him that those grounds for his petition against Major Atkinson which are considered the strongest are barred by time, and the evidence in favor of those which are not barred is insufficient to warrant him in prooeeding any further.
