New Zealand 4 per cent, inscribed stock has advanced by 10s to IOOJ. Adelaide wheat (ex store) remains at 33s 6d, and New Zealand at from 30s to 335, according to quality. Adelaide flour is at 235. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 1,630,000 quarters. The wheat afloat for the Continent amount to 233,000 quarters, Australian tallow : Beef, average quality, 22s Gd ; mutton, 23s 6d. New Zealand frozen mutton, of prime quality, remains at 4d per lb. At yesterday’s wool sales 99,000 bales were offered, and ts-day’s catalogue comprised 73,000 bales. No improvement in the demand is shown, and the market was steady but inactive. The Jockey Club at York have warned the Marquis of Ailesbury and John Tyler, his trainer, off the turf for life, owing to the suspicious running of the horse Everett in the Harewood Plate.
