Our Christchurch correspondent telegraphs :—A fifty mile bicycle road race took Sace this morning, and resulted in a win for [r R-Bargrove {scratch) of the Pioneer Club, who did the distance in three hours thirty-five, minutes. This beats the record by eight minutes. The race was a handicap one, and nine competed, the .limit. .man being allowed twenty minutes. " """■'.*
