Sib, —Noticing; "Forfarshire Lad's' 1 letter in ye nr last evening's issue, and being quite at one with him in his just indignation, perhaps I can explain an important misconception on his part, and that is in supposing that the banner represented in any way the opinion ol the undergraduates. I understand it was solely got up by a certain section ol the students, which oertainly does not imply that they are in a majority. Perhaps those better informed can tell ns what fraction ol the whole it does represent, as many of us knew nothing about it until it was unfurled in the hall that evening So ne of our political candidates in the hall the same night apparently fell Into the same mistake.—l am, eto .
