Mr H. Lbiiiab? forwards to ui a, communication signed by Messrs J. Haig and John Gore, who endorse his statements in referenco to what transpired when the Protection League's delegation waited on Dr Fltcbettto obtain his views on certain resolutions that had been adopted by the League's General Committee. They certify to the truth of the conversation that took place between Dr Fitchett and Mr Lethaby in the former's office, when he announced that he had been a thorough supporter of Mr Farnie up to the time of the interview; but at the rtqueit of Mr Halltnsteln and others, who had pledged him to go to the poll, he had decided to do so, whether the League declared for him or not.
