THE LAND BOARD.

The ordinary meoting of the Land Board was held to-day, and was attended by all the members.

A letter was received from Mr V. Pyko with reference to the capital value of perpetual-lease section 10, block 11, Qreonvalo, and section 11, block 8, Wcndon, being fixed at 20s per acre.— The Board deolined to make any alteration of the upset price A lease of seotion 1, block 10, Havelook, was granted to Mrs U. Bishop for fellmongery purposes for seven years at an annual rent of LI. > Swan and M'Phail's coal license over portion of section 29, blook 6, Waikaka, was cancelled, and a license over the area was granted to Mapp and M'Kenzie. A license was also granted to James M'Kenzie for another area in the locality. The Board recommended the Government to open for application for grazing runs in blocks 2, 3, and 4, Nenthorn, and 13, Strath Taieri. , A memo, was received from the Receiver of Land Revenue with reference to arrears due by A, M'Culloch (Wendon). —Licensee to be notified that one half-year's rent must be paid before the 30th September next; balance of arrears to be paid by the Ist January, 1888,. otherwise the Board will forfeit.

Mr Simpson, for a client, asked that section 9, block 3, Lauder, should be opened for perpetual leasing at 20s. Government recommended accordingly. A deferred-payment license was granted to E. Goodchild of section 38, block 4, Catlins/- , The forfeiture of T. Middleman's license of section 42, block 14, Ohatton, was rescinded and capitalisation authorised.
