Search was made all yesterday among the ruins of the Criterion Hotel for the body of Dr Home without result. There is no doubt, however, that he was burned. The following are the actual insurances : —Phoenix, L 5,620; New Zealand, L 4,000; Colonial, L 3,100; London and Liverpool and Globe, L 3,000; Standard, L 2,400 ; Union, LI,900; United, LI,200; South British, Ll,200; Equitable, LI,000; Royal, L 800; National, L 650 ; Northern, L 570; Victoria, L 500; total, L 25.940.
