AN IMPORTANT LAND SALE.
WELLINGTON. Mat 13. Messrs T. Kennedy M'Donald and Co. sold to-day in Wellington,•for the Wellington. 1 and Manitwatu Railway Company, forty-two agricultural sections adjoining the township of Manukau, situated along the Company's line of railway, containing 3,750 acres, for L 9.878 16s 4d, representing an average of L2 12s 8d per acre. They also sold the township of Manukau for ! the same Company at an avorage of L 27 8s 2d per acre for town and L 6 Is 2d per acre for suburban settlement. The total sales amounted o L 10.917 18s lid.
