BOWLING.
The Eoslyn Club paid a visit to Lawrence on Friday to play their inter-club match. The Blue Spur was visited in the afternoon, and in the evening the visitors attended a smoke concert in their honor. The match started at eleven o’clock on Saturday, and after an hour’s play the score stood—Eoslyn 35, Lawrence 19 ; after two hours’ play, Lawrence 50, Eoslyn 48. The next half-hour Eoslyn played up well, and won the match by 14 points. The following are the detailed scores:— Lawrence. Boslvs. No. 1 Kink J. Ferguson J. Wilde J. Tanton E. M. Roach A. Robertson proposed the health ..of the visitors, and Mr VV. Carlton responded, thanking the Lawrence bowlers for the handsome way in which they had treated the Eoslyn team. A start for home was made at three o’clock, and it was admitted on all sides that it was the most enjoyable outing the Club have ever had. ,
