Katkoif, the editor of the Moscow ♦Gazette,' was officially rebuked for his violent anti-German articles. The value of this reprimand was shown by the faot that he has since been invited to the Czar's table. Baron Macleay intends to lead a fresh scientific exploring expedition into New Guinea. It is stated that the Adelaide Board of the Bank of South Australia estimate the possible losses at L 83.000, while the directors consider they will reach LIO.OOO more.
