BOARD OF GOVERNORS.
The regular monthly meeting of the High School Board of Governors, held yesterday, was attended by the Rev. Dr Stuart (chairman), Hon. W. H. Reynolds, Rev. A. R. Fitchett, and Dr Brown. The Secretary reported that a number of the Strath Taicri perpetual leaseholders had failed to pay 50 per cent, of their arrears, as Recommended by the late Commission.—A j.egojutiou was passed urging the Land Board jbo take step;? to enforce payment. Applications were received from- John Mathieson and Donald Henderson for the. purchase of several sections in the totornahin of Arden.—lt was decided to adyertjao the; sections for sale. Accounts amounting to L 713 Us 8d were passed for payment, . - • The chairman and the" Rev. Mr Fitchett were appointed to draw up the annual-report fo the Minister for Education.
