It is announced that after an interview which he had to-day with Prince Bismarck, Count de Lesseps declared that all danger of war between France and Germany has passed, but serious complications will arise unless the date of the evacuation of Egypt by the British forces is fixed. He advises the reinstatement of Ismail Pasha as Khedive.

It is reported in Vienna that several great Russian landowners, holding high positions in the State, have been arrested at St. Petersburg on a charge of plotting to compel the Czar to grant a constitution or to abdicate. The British Government have agreed to appoint a select committee to report on the condition of the lifeboat services of the United Kingdom. England has purchased 3,000 horses in Canada.

Mr Dillon, M.P., speaking at Tipperary, incited the Justices and the police to betray their trusts in order to avert the revenge that otherwise will ultimately overtake them.

The Colonial Wool Merchants’ Association has been enlarged in order to admit all interest in the colonial wool trade.

The Queen will review 70,000 troops at Aldershot in July. The Czar and Czarina have gone to their palace at Gutschina.
