MACANDREW MEMORIAL.
A meeting of the Macandrew Memorial Fund Committee was held at the Harbor Board offices this afternoon, and attended by Mr R. H. Leary (chairman), J. L. Gillies (hon. secretary), J. R. Sinclair, J. T. Mackerras, H. Driver, W. D. Stewart, M.H.R., G. G. Russell, J. Barron, W. Hutchison, Dr Drysdale, J. Mill, and H. S. Fish. The hon. secretary reported that Mr D. Harris Hastings had been appointed paid secretary, and that 1,250 circulars and subscription lists had been sent to the School Committees throughout Otago, 300 to members of Committee, M.L.C.s, M.H.R.S, mayors, and chairmen of county councils. It was intended to send circulars to all friendly societies and runholders in Otago, and all school committees in Southland. The action, whioh had been taken since last meeting, was approved.
