The ship lost four hoats, and was otherwise damaged. Captain Allman, of the Penguin, has patented an arrangement of Bignalg for the prevention of collisions at soa. ARRIVAL OF THE PLEIADES. The Shaw-Savill and Albion Company's ship Pleiades, from Glasgow, which was reported off the Nuggets on, Tuesday, reached the Heads yesterday evening, and was tendered by the Pluoky this morning, being brought across the bar at 7.45. She oame to anchor off Crey Bay at nine o'clock in readiness for towing to town to-morrow. Her draft is 18ft. Captain Selten informed the Health Officer that all on board were in good health with the exception of a passenger sufforing from consumption who was taking the voyage for the benefit of his health. She was then cleared in.' Captain Selten brings with him as chief officer Mr Findlav, Mr Ohissel being second, and Mr Morrison third. Her cargo consists of 1,600 tons, 1,000 of which are measurement goods. James Allon, a tteeHge passenger, died from consumption on Decamber 25, leaving a wife and seven children on board. The passage, which is rather, a long one for this fine vessel, has occupied ninety-five days, but 1b accounted for oy the faoc that she had extremely fine weather, so that for the greater part of her passage her royals were not furled.
