FOOTBALL.
At the general meeting of the United Club the following office-hearers were elected for the ensuing year : President, Mr Reade; vice-presidents, Messrs Keast and Wedderspoon : captain, J. M'Lauchlan; deputy, W. Wingneld; treasurer, J. Nicholson; secretary, R. J. Roach ; committee, Messrs M'Lauchlan, Wingfield, Roach, Nicholson, Power, Murray, and Keast. The colors of the Club are to be amber and blue. It was decided to join the Union. A favorable report of last year's matches was read, nine matches being played, of which five were won, two lost, and two drawn.
