WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.
A report on the state of religion in the churches was presented, showing that the increase in church membership and attendants on the ministry was very large. The report on Sunday schools showed the number of schools to be 208, with 17,000 scholars. A draft of appointments of home missionaries for next year was adopted. Permission was granted to sell church sites (proceeds to be devoted to purchase of more suitable ones)ntOcraldinc, Opoho, and Waikouaiti. Lists of new erections were supplied; also sanction givon for the following : —Auckland, North Shore, new church and parsonage, with new school; at Northcote, second parsonage ; Grafton road, new church ; Thames and Kingsland, Puparoa and Kingsland, new church ; Wairoa, parsonage ; Hokianga, two churches; Whan-
garoa, Kaeo, and Palmerston North, new churches; Durham street, new school-rooms; ditto at Crescent road ; St. Albans, Riccarton, new church; Kaiapoi, nciv organ gallery ; Rangiora, school; Duncdin South, parsonage or church ; Mornington, parsonage ; Port Chalmers, Sunday school-room; Invercargill, parsonage.
