LAING has been appointed in his place aa Manager of the Dunedin Warehouse. By order of the Board, W. BOWDEN, Secretary, For The Drapery and General Importing Company of New Zealand. Limited, High street, Dunedin. I. C. Over 1,000 WEDDING AND BIRTHDAY PRESENTS, ONE PENNY TO 25 GUINEAS. D. I. C, HIGH STREET. A. F. SOWARD, Manager, MEDICAL. THE HERB DOCTOR. T WISH to intimate to my frionds and all L interested that, having finished my preliminary studies necessary to Legal Qualification, I will be at the service of those who prefer Herbal to other systems of medication. Ido not claim to bo a Specialist, but have tried to obtain a general and comprehensive knowledge of tho various diseases incident to our frail humanity, and how to cure them. Being an old resident in this City, and a doctor born out of due time, prejudice will prevent many from coming to me. I am not displeased at this, as I would rather be without patients than have those without faith. Willing to admit my fallibility, I can only promise to do my best for all who put themselves under my treatment, as I hate anything like Extortion, and do not make it my business to keep up a high style of living. I shall charge only a reasonable sum for my services and medicines. Patients who come to my dispensary, and who live in the country, will be charged 5s per week (medicine and treatment included) in ordinary cases. It is because as a rule many people cannot afford to pay big fees that they go in such numberß to the Hospital for outdoor treatment, sitting for hours waiting their turn. I will try to meet people in this condition, and charge them a nominal price for medicines on y. Although it is not considered professional to put up patent medicines, yet people will buy them, as they find them beneficial. If I can supply them with as good an article at a less figure, and thus keep the money circulating in the Colony, it would be most unreasonable not to do so. PILLS are, perhaps, the most popular form of medications. These I manufacture in immense quantities, coated so as to render them tasteless, and about 50 per cent, cheaper than the imported. Heading tho list are our famous DANDELION PILLS. Composed of Dandelion, Rhubarb, Podophyllin, Leptandum, Eumonium, and Hydrastin, in their most concentrated forms. About 40 of these in a box, Is; Family Boxes, containing one gross, 2s 6d. Many cases of Indigestion have been cured by these Pills and the Dandelion Coffee. Sufferers from Asthma. I have now a treatment I got in America that has been a great blessing to thousands. People who have tried every 'known remedy give this the palm. The treatment consists in a strong tincture and a powder for inhalation. This is true. For a tonic that will strengthen the stomach try our concentrated Stomach Tonic. One gentleman called for two bottles, and said : " I never got any tonic that did me so much good. 2s 6d a bottle; will last one week, givo you a good appetite, and make you better.
