It was only the other day that London society waß startled at the discovery that the confidential maid of a lady of rank was in reality a beardless adventurer in corsets, and about the same time a Paris hotel disclosed the secret that two excellent chambermaids were of the masculine gender. Now from the other side of the Hoboken flits comes the story of a treasure of a c ok, in the employ of an aristocratic New Jersey family, who was discovered, through the medium of a red fhnnel undershirt, to be a maequerader in female attire.
