Mr Montagu Pym reports that tho cash tender of Messrs Uiquhart and Co., of Invcrcargill, has been accepted for the stock lately belonging to Messrs Aitken, Cross, and Co. THE WOOL SALES. Messrs Dalgcty and Comuany have received cablo advices that the first series of colonial wool sales for ISSS will open in London on January 20. The N-w Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company have received the following cablegraml from their Loudon oltlco, dated November 25 :—" wool : Market unchanged. Up to date 90,000 bales have been sold. The next sales will commence on 20th January." . MINING NOTES. An extraordinary find of silver has been made in the vicinity of Lake's Camp, Silvorton (N.S.W.). In three days one man brought to tho surfaco LS.ooo worth of silver ore, tho latter being nearly pure s lvcr. A few dave ago a slug was brought to Sydney, yielding 4,0000z, said to have been found on a run in bouuh Australia, sixty miles from Silvertou.
