(Received November 27,1884, at I a.m.j Telegrams from Dongola state that a mounted infantry corps left that town and is now proceeding southward. Native Bples who were sent to ascertain the strength and position of the Mahdi's army have arrived at Dongola with tho intelligence that Khartoum is surrounded by the rebel troops, who number fully 15,000 men.
