THE rapidly-increasing Importance of the City of Dunedin and the Suburban Municlpalities having now reached the stage at which an Annual Directory of convenient size and small cost has become a desideratum, John Stone has much pleasure in announcing the preparation of a complete Street, Name, and Trade Directory of the City and Suburban Boroughs, bound in cloth, at the low price of five shillings to subscribers, and to be continued annually. The fact of the publisher having been formerly engaged in the compilation of the London Directory, and in the successful publication of other Town and Country Directories, together with the local knowledge he has acquired through his connection with Municipal, Property Assessment, Census, and other matters in and around Dunedin for several years past, will, It is hoped, be a sufficient guarantee that the Directory will be compiled and got up generally in such a manner as to ensure a maximum of utility and reliability.
