MR BRACKEN'S MEETING.
TO THE EDITOR.
Sir,—Mr Thomas Bracken, according to the editor of the 'Morning Herald,' addressed "an appreciative, if not numerous audience " last evening. The report of the same paper estimates the attendance at about COO persons. Strange to say, the ' Daily Times' gives the truer and more generous estimate of "between 600 and 700 people present. Droll, is it not, that the which Mr Bracken so severely condemned displays a greater regard for the friendly truth than does the paper with which Mr Bracken is supposed to be connected.—l am, etc., Elector, Dunedin, December S.
