A large barque passed the Heads at 4 p.m. yesterday, Fteerinv' north. The Inveroaririll is rapidly filling up with cargo. She sails on Saturday for London. The lona broke bulk to-day, and commenced discharging cargo into lighters. The 'U'ihi Deer unbent, sails this morning, and commenced discharging cargo in the afternoon. The Bnwen lias met with quick despatch, the last of her tea being put out to-day. The Peninsula and Oriental Company's agent in Melbourne has received a telegram stating that the European mails will be now conveyed through the Suez (.'anal by the Company's steamers, instead of by rail from Suez to Alexandria, as in the past. The schooner lluon Belle has been floated off the beach at Waimakiriri. The ketch Kestrel, with cargo from Lyttclton, arrived at i'ort Chalmers at 4.80 p.m. on Monday, and pawed up the harbor to Dunedin with a light leading wind. She left'Lyttclton on the 7th inst.', arid experienced'variable'winds down the coa^t. The Botomahana, from Melbourne via Hobart and the Bluff, arrived at Port Chalmers at 8 a.m. to-day. She left tho Bluff at i. SO p.m. yesterday, and experienced fresh westerly winds along the coast. We thank Mr Hudson (the purser) for files and report. Shipping Telegrams.
